Administrative Support Division FAQs

DTS:
Q: A traveler’s credit card is being declined at ticketing. What can be done?
A: The CTO should request that the site DTA contact the traveler to activate their charge card or provide a valid credit card number.

Q: Can the traveler use a non-contract carrier?
A: The Defense Transportation Regulation states that non-contract city pair flights may be used if the fare is lower than the contract fare, the fare is available to the general public, and the contract carrier does not offer the same or lower fare. DoD policy requires travelers to utilize the GSA contract carrier fare when available.

Q: What can I do when a ticket has been issued and the trip has been cancelled?
A: Traveler should notify CTO immediately to cancel the reservations. The traveler should then cancel their DTS authorization ensuring they claim the $13 CTO fee. See our DTS section for instructions on cancelling an authorization.
