Leader Training Brigade

LEADER TRAINING BRIGADE

ORGANIZATION: Leader Training Brigade (LTB) is an unit under the Center for Initial Military Training (CIMT). LTB operates as a tenant organization, with geographical support functions provided by Fort Jackson, SC.

The Brigade Headquarters provides command, control support, and linkage to the CIMT command and staff located at Fort Eustis, VA, and executes quality assurance and training development requirements for the entire organization. The three schools, Initial Military Training Leadership School, United States Army Physical Fitness School, and United States Army Master Resilience School perform functional roles related to leader and support education, master resilience and master fitness.

The LTB Commander, as the senior military representative of the CIMT at Fort Jackson, provides support oversight to the United States Army Drill Sergeant Academy (DSA) including directed responsibilities in developing DSA's Programs of Instruction and executing Quality Assurance requirements.

MISSION: LTB conducts education and development of selected leaders with a current, rigorous and relevant curriculum in leadership, fitness and resiliency, as well as, facilitate the development and integration of instructional strategies and training products of assigned courses in order to enhance the development of leaders as critical thinkers and warfighters who are prepared to meet the challenges of a complex and dynamic environment.
