| Under the direction of the Commander, the Concert Band is the premier ensemble of The United States Army Training and Doctrine Command Band.
This world renowned group has performed at concert halls and other venues throughout the United States and Canada. Its outstanding programs include a diverse
selection of orchestral transcriptions, marches, and overtures from the traditional wind band repertoire, as well as popular music, show tunes, and patriotic
numbers. The ensemble frequently takes advantage of musical talents of its members, through both instrumental and vocal solos, and its performances are frequently
enhanced through the use of multimedia.
Publicly recognized for its musical excellence, the band has twice been awarded the internationally acclaimed Colonel George S. Howard Citation of Musical
Excellence for Military Concert Bands. The musicians of the Concert Band are among the finest in the Army Band Program, with many having studied music at
some of the finest universities and conservatories, both in the United States and abroad. The Band’s members frequently share these talents with music students
of all ages through both live performances, and the Band's online master classes. It is through these varied venues that the members of the Concert Band perform
their mission as the musical representative of The United States Army Training and Doctrine Command, exemplifying the excellence of America's Army. |
