CP-32 Interns
Education and/or instructional technology interns acquire technical and work-related skills through formal classroom and on-the-job training. Total time spent in training is 24 months. During this time, there is a planned progression and advancement program that offers opportunities for promotion, travel and challenging job assignments.
All interns begin their training at a regional training center located at Forts Benning, Gordon, Lee, Leonard Wood and Sill. Leadership and Army orientation courses, which include field experiences, extensive functional courses at regional training sites or at their permanent duty station complement on-the-job training.
The intern program provides the education and training so that each intern develops the advanced skills, knowledge and abilities for successful performance at the journeyman level. The intern program provides each intern with the knowledge of:
- The mission of the local command and how the local command fulfills this mission.
- How the Army and the Department of Defense operate as well as a thorough understanding of Army structure, command, planning, budgeting and management.
