5 TRADOC colonels get nod for 1st star


WASHINGTON (TRADOC News Service, Sept. 24, 2004) – Secretary of Defense Donald H. Rumsfeld announced Sept. 23 that President George W. Bush has nominated five colonels who are part of Training and Doctrine Command for promotion to brigadier general. They are:

  • Col. John M. Bednarek, commander of the operations group, Joint Readiness Training Center and Fort Polk, Fort Polk, La.
  • Col. Mark A. Graham, deputy commander/assistant commandant, Field Artillery Center and School, Fort Sill, Okla.
  • Col. Rodney L. Johnson, commandant, Military Police School, Maneuver Support Center, Fort Leonard Wood, Mo.
  • Col. Brian A. Keller, deputy commander/assistant commandant, Intelligence Center and School, Fort Huachuca, Ariz.
  • Col. James C. Yarbrough, deputy commander/assistant commandant, Infantry Center and School, Fort Benning, Ga.
