These exercises integrate multiple types of combat and support units to achieve a desired battle damage outcome against an enemy at the right time and place. The exercise held at Fort Leonard Wood saw participation from Army National Guard, active duty Air Force and Air Force Reserve units.

Russell said the U.S. Army Ready and Resilient program helped give her the edge needed to reach her goal of winning the title. Russell is scheduled to represent MSCoE in the U.S. Army Training and Doctrine Command level competition in July, at Fort Rucker, Ala.

The 13th annual Lt. Gen. Robert B. Flowers Best Sapper Competition brings up to 50 Teams of two military personnel from across the Army will participate in the competition. . Sappers provide the maneuver commander an asset to ensure mobility, counter-mobility and survivability using specialized engineer and infantry techniques. The Sapper is called upon to emplace any obstacle and breach any structure. We clear the way so infantry units can get through to perform their mission in combat.

Students in the new three-day Multidisciplinary Strangulation Response and Investigation Course are taught to have victims use a styrofoam head to show hand placement during an attack and to have caregivers use orange, weighted dolls to reenact how an infant was put to bed in the cases where there is an undetermined cause of death. The MSRIC one of three scheduled pilot courses at the U.S. Army Military Police School, Behavioral Sciences Education and Training Division, Fort Leonard Wood, Mo., as a result of changes in the Uniform Code of Military Justice that now includes a felony offense for strangulation.
