The Pathway to a KM Representative (KMR)
KM Representatives (KMRs) are usually the first responders to KM issues and well-versed in their organization’s collaborative processes. They have technical skills or special training in KM and want to improve the organization with creativity and critical thinking. KMRs are staff section personnel designated as the staff principal’s agent to coordinate with the KM Section (ATP 6‑01.1). They contribute to successful KM in three main areas — knowledge brokering, advocacy, and support.

- KM Overview (Self-paced, 2 hrs)
- Army KM Basics Course (Self-paced, 3-5 days)
- KM Representative Course (KMRC) (Online and in-person; 3 days)
- KM Electives (Online, self-paced; varies)
