Mission
The TRADOC Special Troops Battalion provides command and control of administration, logistics, training, military justice and operations in support of Headquarters, United States Army Training and Doctrine Command at Joint Base Langley-Eustis to enable TRADOC mission success.
Functions
- Provide command and control, administration, training and Uniformed Code of Military Justice (UCMJ) support to assigned and attached units, to include Summary Court-Martial Convening Authority.
- Perform Soldier support (reenlistment, training, and promotion authority) functions for Headquarters and Headquarters Company; TRADOC Band; 221st Military Police Detachment; and the Facilities Management Office.
- Obtain and provide service-oriented facilities maintenance and operations services to all occupants, visitors, contractors, and activities occupying TRADOC facilities on Joint Base Langley-Eustis.
- Execute programs to ensure Soldier readiness for deployment and professional development.
- Manage and sustain a Family Readiness Group that includes both military and Department of the Army Civilian families within the TRADOC Headquarters.
- Integrate and synchronize Soldier support to installation ceremonies and special activities.
